This Blow Off, or Dump valve, is for the Mercedes 2.0 Turbo GDi engine found in the CLA250 that has the electronically controlled bypass valve. It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures that have occurred where the original rubber diaphragm splits, which causes a loss of boost pressure. Unfortunately the failure doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure, so you may not be aware that you are losing power due to this.

Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering significantly improved reliability. Our valve is piston based with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction. It replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation.

All parts require for installation are included, together with full installation instructions.

Disclaimer

Any tuning/performance-based mods/work/quotes and products are strictly for off-road and motorsport use only. Performance mods/certain exhaust systems will cause your vehicle to fail the MOT emissions test, therefore rendering the vehicle unroadworthy and illegal to be used on UK roads. PLEASE BE AWARE – Sports cats can NOT legally be installed on a vehicle for use on a public road that was manufactured after 1st March 2001 unless Type ECE 103R is approved (identified by ‘103R’ in the exhaust product title). Fitting a Cat/Cat Bypass or GPF delete/bypass to a vehicle that is to be used on UK roads will cause the vehicle to fail the MOT emissions test, therefore rendering it unroadworthy and illegal to be used on UK roads.

Please note that UK regulations specify that the nearside and offside front door windows, for which the driver uses for forward vision, and when using external rear facing mirrors, must permit a light transmittance value of at least 70% ( for motor vehicles first used on or after 1st April 1985), with the front windscreen permitting a light transmittance value of 75%

Please note that factory fitted windows are already tinted and by adding additional tinting, this may result in vehicles no longer being compliant for Road use.
