Some of you might be familiar with this design of rear wings, but for those who do not follow sports car racing as closely as the rest of us.
Here is a little computer wind tunnel comparison between a conventional design and the swan neck style.
The bottom image is of the swan neck design, just by changing the bracket locations to the top of the wing make the aero more efficient and provide more down force than the traditional method, thus allowing the use of smaller rear wings to get the desired down force.
Even though this design has been around since 2009, it is only just coming to the mass aftermarket parts market.
So we thought we would let all our weekend racers and Time Attack friends know what to look out for in 2014.Share
